Founded in 2006, Jinko Solar, a China-based solar technology company, has significantly expanded its production capacity over the years, playing a significant role in the solar energy sector across Australia and globally.
Sport
This week, on the international stage, Manchester City announced a new global partnership with Jinko Solar in a deal which sees Jinko Solar become the Premier League champion’s official solar energy partner.
Manchester City says it will collaborate with Jinko Solar to “connect and engage with fans globally to jointly promote the use of solar energy” as well educating fans on “how they can play a part towards a sustainable future.”
Jinko Solar will also support the club’s plans to make its training facility, City Football Academy, one of the largest producers of renewable energy in world football. The Citizens announced the plans earlier this year, forming part of the club’s ambition to become carbon net zero by 2030.
Kaitlyn Beale, Vice-President of Global Partnerships Sales at City Football Group, enthused “we are delighted to announce this new global partnership with Jinko Solar. Manchester City and Jinko Solar are two leading organisations that put an emphasis on innovation in our respective fields.
“Both organisations are committed to creating a lasting change and empowering better lives, and we look forward to Jinko Solar joining our journey as we aim to create a more sustainable future.”
Gener Miao, Chief Marketing Officer at Jinko Solar added “we are excited to announce a landmark partnership between JinkoSolar and Manchester City Football Club, uniting two champions in their respective fields.
“This ‘champion to champion’ collaboration celebrates excellence in sports and renewable energy, paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable future.
“Together with Manchester City, we are dedicated to advancing sustainability and showcasing how renewable energy can lead to a healthier planet. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact we will create on this exciting journey.”
Cinema
In March this year, Jinko Solar Australia successfully completed a remarkable rooftop solar project at Dumaresq Street Cinema in Campbelltown installing 169 x Jinko Tiger Series 550W 72HL4-V.
They collaborated on the project with Electrifying Australia and their dedicated project manager, Andy He Sui.
Jinko Solar Australia noted “with this latest project, we've brought cutting-edge technology to New South Wales, paving the way for cleaner, greener energy solutions.”
Jinko’s reputation for financial stability and a strong track record has made it a preferred choice in Australia. The company plays a significant role in the country’s solar energy sector. Many of Australia’s largest solar farms utilise Jinko Solar’s technology. Over 1GW of Jinko solar panels have been deployed in utility-scale installations across Australia, solidifying their position as a key contributor to renewable energy efforts.
Voyages Ayers Rock Resort
Back in March 2016, a 1.8 MW solar system was commissioned at Voyages Ayers Rock Resort. Jinko Solar supplied 1.6MW EAGLE PID free modules to this project with the balance of the project supplied by another module provider. The project includes both roof and a ground mount systems, which ensures that energy is produced close to where it is needed.
Jinko Solar Eagle series PID free modules were attractive to Voyages due to their quality, the strong track record of Jinko Solar delivering globally on large scale solar projects, and Jinko’s competitive price points.
The main motivation for Voyages to have the solar system installed was to reduce operating costs for both the resort and its existing electricity supplier (Power and Water Corporation). Prior to the installation of the solar system, Yulara relied entirely on a diesel mini grid managed by the Power and Water Corporation. The cost of running a 100% diesel system is exorbitant, which made installing the solar system not only good for the environment, but also one of the best financial investments the community could ever make.
