The internationally-recognised certification positions Thredbo a leader of sustainable alpine tourism destinations worldwide.

A celebration of sustainability and ingenuity, these awards recognise NSW individuals, communities, businesses and government for their innovation and excellence in environmental and social stewardship. Thredbo looks forward to celebrating the sustainability achievements of those who are working towards a more sustainable future for NSW at the Awards Ceremony on December 7, 2023.

Looking Forward
Continually improving its offering, Thredbo is currently making even more resort-wide developments with construction now well and truly underway for a new year-round Alpine Coaster that will be ready to ride for winter 2024, as well as continuing to rollout its 10-year chairlift replacement plan to update and improve existing infrastructure.

In addition to current developments, Thredbo also recently lodged a development application (DA) with the NSW Department of Planning and Environment for a new accommodation sub-division for the Thredbo Golf Course. This submission has carefully considered the NSW Government's objectives to boost activity in the region whilst respecting and preserving the unique Alpine environment. As Australia’s Best Ski Resort for the past seven years, this development aims to continue delivering experiences that support this position.
